Tune in as we discuss year one in business with The Furlough Cheesecake. The Furlough Cheesecake was founded in early 2019 by Nikki Howard & Jaqi Wright, sisters and former government employees subjected to the infamous government furlough which lasted 35 days. Howard & Wright launched a business in days of the shutdown and was covered by major media outlets in their first month in business. I had the pleasure to interview them both for Black Enterprise Magazine in January 2019 and pleased to follow up with them in this episode.
We discuss business growth, surviving & thriving in business during a pandemic along with the lessons of the first year in business.
The biggest takeaway from this interview, Entrepreneurship is a Marathon, Not a Sprint
